THE BEST OF BERLIN WITH ANNA

Anna Morozova, Junior Project Manager DMC Berlin

In contrast to many other capital cities in Europe, Berlin does not boast of its historic buildings and architectural masterpieces. It is more about the hidden areas, cozy cafes and an overall unique atmosphere that make our vibrant metropolis so fascinating. This is exactly what Anna, our DMC specialist, likes so much about Berlin! Which restaurant was awarded as the best scene restaurant this year or which hotel has just opened its doors? Anna will share these insights with you and create an extraordinary program.

Go on tour with her and see first-hand what Berlin holds for you!

“Breakfast & Brunch at the Kopps”

Vegetarian restaurants have long earned their right to existence, and this is completely justifiable, as the Kopps proves. Here you’ll find fresh local produce prepared in a very “sexy” way. Creative dishes, real ingredients and innovative minds are behind the concept of the restaurant. Not that we’re trying to convert anyone, but a Sunday brunch at the Kopps is a dream come true and has the potential to make a vegetarian heart skip a beat in any of us. And what’s Anna having? Pancakes, of course!

“Lunch at Cô Cô bánh mì Deli”

When you enter the Deli, you feel like you’re at a Vietnamese market: Baskets of oranges and limes on the floor, tables decorated with ginger, lemon happily afloat in preserving jars. Cô Cô bánh mì Deli serves authentic, fresh sandwiches made using original Vietnamese recipes. Between crispy pieces of bread you’ll find homemade mayonnaise, traditional meat specialties, Asian-style pickled veggies and much more. The perfect place for a quick lunch, or order takeout and then head for “Weinbergspark” right around the corner. Make sure you try the Bánh xèo rice flour omelettes.

„Shopping in Berlin Mitte“

The area around Rosenthaler and Weinmeisterstraße offers everything your heart desires. If you like small designer boutiques instead of big shopping malls, this is exactly the place to go. Whether a chic autumn coat or a few stylish pillows for the new couch at home - the shops in this part of town have always the most beautiful clothes and inspiring furnishing ideas. In between, many cafes and restaurants invite for a short shopping break.

“Zeit für Brot”

Searching for the best cinnamon rolls in the city, Anna immediately fell in love with this beautiful bakery. What is noticeable when you enter the shop at the very first site is its transparent bakery. As a customer, you can exclusively watch the bakers live at work. The passion and effort they put in the high quality products that are being produced freshly every day is fascinating and you can definitely taste it. Particularly great are, of course, the different variations of the Swedish baked rolls combined with a delicious cappuccino.

“Gallery for Photography”

Sebastião Salgado’s exhibition at C/O Berlin was the clincher for many visitors, as well as for Anna! The gallery shows temporary exhibitions of artists and luminaries in contemporary photography. Not far from the new bikini store at Kurfürstendamm, and boasting a really nice café where you can lunch on amazing sourdough “Stullen” (Berlin-style sandwiches), C/O Berlin is an ideal reason to take a trip to the west side of the city!

Dinner at "The Tree"

Ling Ma and Xiaoting Zhang, the owners of The Tree, have realised their dream of a unique food and design concept. Szechuan cuisine is served in the two naturally inspired, airy and minimalist rooms. The Szechuan pepper plays the leading role in the taste of various delicious starters and bowls with homemade noodles. Due to the special notes of the pepper, the food in “The Tree” surprises again and again with an unusual taste remedy.

Mikkeller Bar

If you have some background knowledge about beer, you may have heard the name "Mikkeler" in connection with Copenhagen or San Diego. The first branch of this iconic Craft Beer Bar has now opened its door in Torstraße in Berlin. Plenty of wood, lots of light, white brick walls - in short: rustic industrial chic. But above all, the big bar with its 24 taps is the heart and pulse of this place. Come and enjoy many different variations of craft beer and have a nice evening in a relaxing atmosphere.
